This is our most economical edge finish. Material is simply cut on the saw with no further edge work.  This edge is excellent for pieces that just need to be cut down to your requested size. 

Description:

Applications:

• When installing into a frame and edge will be hidden
• Further processing will be done at a later time
• Material needs to be cut down to a manageable size
• Edge finish is not the primary concern

We scrape or sand the edges to remove the sharpness from the cut piece. This improves the ability to handle material and helps to minimize cuts and injury. Excellent for items being handled when edge quality is not a primary concern.

Flame polishing is our intermediate edge. This is the first level that includes edge polishing to a glossy finish. Excellent for table tops and point of purchase displays (brochure stands) where edges are visible. E3 provides a finished look for a beautiful presentation.

• Sharpness removed from corners and edges
• Flame polish to melt the edge to a glossy reflection
• Slight texture from fine tooling

E5 is the highest edge finish we offer. Specify E5 finish when nothing less than a clear, polished edge is required. We hand-polish all edges so you can see through the material! This is an excellent choice for awards, highly visible edges, and thick material (1/2″ or greater).
